Test Technician 1

About the role

Micron Technology is seeking a Test Technician 1 to support the operation and maintenance of test equipment used in memory and storage product manufacturing. The role involves capturing information, planning actions, and ensuring equipment reliability while collaborating with engineering and production teams.

Key responsibilities

• Capture information from supervisors and planning reports and develop an action plan.
• Implement, communicate, and monitor the action plan, adjusting as needed.
• Maintain and diagnose test equipment, performing preventive maintenance and calibrations.
• Record equipment status in the tracking system and ensure accurate documentation.
• Select and utilize appropriate test tools following standardized procedures.
• Extract and validate data from equipment, measuring process metrics and identifying inefficiencies.
• Communicate equipment performance trends and deviations to engineering, production, and support teams.
• Collaborate with engineers and maintenance staff on system improvements, including AI‑enabled optimization.
• Provide rapid, positive customer service and reprioritize work based on customer needs.
• Assist engineers on projects aimed at improving test equipment efficiency and yield.
• Perform failure analysis (FA) as requested and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Identify and report safety hazards, follow PPE, lockout, and chemical‑safety procedures.
