Tendering Engineer – Substation (Mumbai)

About the role

We are hiring an experienced Tendering Engineer for a reputed EPC company. The role is based in Mumbai (Worli) and focuses on preparing technical and commercial tenders for substation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare technical and commercial tenders for substation projects.
• Study and analyze RFQs, tender documents, specifications, BOQ and client requirements.
• Prepare cost estimates, BOQ, material take‑off and pricing for AIS/GIS substations.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Projects and Commercial teams for tender preparation.
• Prepare technical compliance statements, deviations and clarifications.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from vendors/subcontractors.
• Prepare price comparison statements and finalize competitive rates.
• Support preparation of technical and commercial proposals within tender deadlines.
• Analyze project scope, specifications, drawings and contractual requirements.
• Participate in pre‑bid meetings and client/vendor discussions.
• Maintain tender documentation and ensure compliance with client specifications and applicable standards.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in tendering/estimation for substation projects.
• B.E. or B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with AIS and GIS substation projects across voltage levels (33 kV to 400 kV).
• Background in EPC or power transmission projects.
• Proficiency in BOQ preparation, costing and material estimation.
• Experience in technical and commercial bid preparation.
