Electrical Design Engineer – Buildings

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer – Buildings to deliver high‑quality electrical engineering designs for commercial, residential and institutional projects in Mumbai and overseas. The role involves creating compliant designs, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting project execution through our Global Design Centre.

Key responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs for LV and MV distribution, power, lighting, emergency lighting, earthing and lightning protection systems.
• Prepare calculations, load schedules, equipment sizing, cable sizing, voltage‑drop and short‑circuit analyses.
• Produce single‑line diagrams, schematics, layouts, equipment schedules and technical drawings.
• Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, HVAC, plumbing and fire‑protection disciplines and support BIM/CAD clash detection.
• Review project requirements against local and international codes (IEC, BS, IS) and ensure compliance.
• Provide technical support during execution and respond to design queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in electrical design for building services.
• Proven experience with commercial, residential or mixed‑use developments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution, lighting, power systems, earthing and lightning protection.
