Telecom Roaming & Interconnect Partnerships Lead

About the role

Skylo is looking for a senior commercial‑technical leader to own its IPX, hubbing and clearing‑partner ecosystem. You will be responsible for contracts, service performance, escalation paths and redundancy strategy that enable new roaming partners to reach production quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end relationships with international roaming operators, connectivity providers (IPX/GRX), and clearing houses.
• Coordinate testing, implementation and data exchange processes such as TAP/RAP, NRTRDE and RAEX.
• Negotiate, draft and maintain agreements, and oversee regulatory compliance (GSMA, EU Roam‑Like‑At‑Home, local rules).
• Analyse roaming performance (traffic, quality, revenue, cost) and define optimisation strategies for tariffs, steering and fraud management.
• Interface with internal functions (Network, IT/BSS, Finance, Legal, Wholesale, Marketing) to ensure service delivery and evolution.

Required profile

• 10+ years in roaming/wholesale role within a mobile operator or IPX hub provider.
• Senior‑level ownership of strategic suppliers and complex partner relationships.
• Deep knowledge of GSMA standards, roaming business models and settlement processes.

Required skills

• IPX/GRX, SS7/MAP and Diameter signaling.
• TAP/RAP, NRTRDE, RAEX (IR.21, IR.85) data exchange.
• 5G network architecture and related elements (HLR/HSS, UDM, MSC, SGSN/GGSN, MME, S/PGW, UPF, SMF, DRA, STP).
• BSS/OSS mediation, rating/charging and clearing systems.
• Jira, Confluence, Slack and partner portal tools.
