Technology Manager – Hydrogenation

About the role

We are seeking a Technology Manager – Hydrogenation to lead technical development and business growth for our hydrogenation and specialty catalyst portfolio. The role combines business development, customer support, and product ownership to drive sustainable innovations with our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical development of customer proposals, including process and design concepts, performance calculations, and warranty considerations.
• Identify industry trends and represent the technical value proposition in business development activities and external presentations.
• Support start‑up activities, monitor operating data, provide training, and serve as the primary technical contact for catalyst performance and troubleshooting.
• Own the assigned catalyst and technology portfolio, maintaining deep expertise in product performance, applications, and limitations.
• Drive continuous innovation and product differentiation in collaboration with R&D teams.
• Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Regional Sales, and Production to align technical and business priorities and translate market needs into technical requirements.

Required profile

• Preferred PhD or Master in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of technical experience with chemical catalysts and processes.
• Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills in English.
• Innovative, solution‑oriented mindset with ability to manage change and lead projects.
• Proven ability to work across organizational boundaries and engage with customers.
