Assistant Manager - Electrical

About the role

This Assistant Manager - Electrical role sits within the Central Manufacturing Excellence (ME) Centre of Excellence team and drives instrumentation, automation and process control excellence across manufacturing sites. It supports digitalization, process stability and automation-led improvement initiatives across plants.

Key responsibilities

• Support greenfield and brownfield manufacturing projects from an electrical engineering standpoint, including design reviews, load calculations, power distribution systems and commissioning
• Coordinate with EPC partners, OEMs and internal engineering teams during execution, FAT/SAT, installation and commissioning
• Support the electrical scope of CAPEX projects, including budgeting, execution tracking and post-implementation reviews
• Ensure smooth project handover to plant teams with complete documentation and training support
• Support Manufacturing Excellence frameworks such as TPM, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
• Take part in reliability improvement initiatives using FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, Pareto Analysis and Failure Trend Analysis
• Improve equipment availability, energy efficiency and electrical system uptime, and help standardize electrical systems, safety practices and maintenance philosophies
• Collect, analyze and report electrical KPIs on availability, breakdowns, energy consumption and safety; support dashboards and structured reporting
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, electrical safety standards and internal audit protocols, and support energy conservation and sustainability initiatives

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
• 2-4 years of experience
