Technology Lawyer – Contract Specialist (Gurugram)

About the role

KPMG Delivery Network (KDN) is seeking a qualified lawyer to join its India Office of the General Counsel (OGC) team in Gurugram. The role will support KDN’s Canadian member firm by reviewing and negotiating a wide range of contracts related to service delivery, procurement, and technology.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate engagement letters, master service agreements, statements of work, non‑disclosure agreements, teaming agreements and subcontractor agreements.
• Provide contract support for proposals, tenders and procurement activities.
• Collaborate with the Canadian OGC team and other KDN specialists to ensure consistent legal standards across jurisdictions.
• Assist business units with contract‑related queries and risk assessments.

Required profile

• Law degree and bar admission in India or Canada.
• Prior experience as an in‑house lawyer handling contracts in a consultancy or professional services environment.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a global team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to KDN’s technology‑driven ways of working.

Required skills

• Expertise in drafting and negotiating engagement letters, MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, vendor and technology contracts.
• Familiarity with procurement and proposal processes.
• Understanding of cross‑border legal considerations for multinational firms.
