Technical Operations Engineer – Contract

About the role

The Technical Operations Engineer will provide on‑site IT support for manufacturing and laboratory environments, ensuring that critical GxP‑regulated systems and infrastructure run smoothly. This contract position is based in Navi Mumbai (with possible work in Hyderabad) and involves hands‑on hardware, network, and validation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support laboratory workstations, peripherals and GxP‑qualified printers.
• Assist GxP validation activities, including IQ/OQ procedures and documentation.
• Perform on‑site server, storage and network hardware troubleshooting, replacements and physical interventions.
• Install, relocate and maintain backup appliances and LAN/Wi‑Fi equipment.
• Deliver IMAC services, conduct daily health checks, and manage asset lifecycle.
• Handle incident, problem, change and service‑request management following ITIL processes.
• Participate in data‑center tasks such as equipment racking, structured cabling, rack planning and patch‑panel support.
• Coordinate with facilities for power, HVAC and environmental control interventions.
• Provide in‑house application support, backup/restore for special devices and staging of such devices.

Required profile

• Experience in manufacturing or laboratory IT environments, preferably regulated (GxP).
• Knowledge of GxP compliance and validation documentation.
• Hands‑on experience with server, storage and network hardware.
• Familiarity with ITIL‑based service management processes.
• Ability to work on‑site and coordinate with vendors and facilities teams.
