Junior Data Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Junior Data Engineer to join Medpace’s Information Technology team. The role is office‑based and will support data warehousing, business intelligence and ETL initiatives that drive our clinical research operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data warehousing solutions using Snowflake, ANSI SQL and SQL Server.
• Build and support ETL/ELT pipelines with dbt, Azure Data Factory and SSIS.
• Create Power BI reports and dashboards for business users.
• Gather and document user requirements and participate in software validation testing.
• Provide end‑user support for data applications, including installation and maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field.
• Internship experience in data or software engineering.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Required skills

• Snowflake cloud data warehouse.
• SQL (ANSI, T‑SQL, SQL Server).
• dbt, Azure Data Factory, SSIS.
• Microsoft Power BI.
• Python programming.
• REST API integration.
• C# and Azure development (optional but preferred).
