Technical Lead – Applied Chiller

About the role

The Technical Lead – Applied Chiller will head a multidisciplinary team of mechanical and electrical design engineers responsible for product development and sustainment of global chiller solutions. This senior position requires self‑starting capability, close collaboration with manufacturing, procurement and IT, and regular communication of progress and milestones.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, development and innovation of commercial and industrial chillers and their components.
• Manage engineering documentation including BOMs, CAD models and technical specifications.
• Drive CAD automation and error‑free deliverables to improve productivity.
• Conduct design reviews, ensure compliance with industry standards and certify product releases.
• Coordinate with procurement and manufacturing to optimise designs for cost and manufacturability.
• Identify project risks, manage schedules and ensure timely delivery of engineering milestones.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a high‑performance team culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in industrial refrigeration product design, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer and refrigeration cycles.
• Familiarity with global compliance and certification standards such as UL, CE and ASME.
• Proven project management and team leadership abilities.
