Technical Expert – Avionics Validation & DO-160G Qualification Testing

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Expert to lead RTCA DO-160G qualification and compliance testing for avionics and airborne electronic equipment. The role blends deep expertise in environmental, EMC, electrical, and reliability validation with customer‑facing technical leadership to support aerospace product certification and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret customer, regulatory and test plan requirements and translate them into measurement protocols, then execute and supervise EMI, EMC and environmental tests.
• Prepare detailed test reports, drive first‑pass success through robust validation planning, and troubleshoot failures to support certification‑ready documentation.
• Engage directly with aerospace OEMs, Tier‑1 suppliers and certification agencies, developing Statements of Work, effort estimates, schedules and quotations.
• Define and improve avionics test infrastructure, optimize test throughput and measurement accuracy, and develop automation solutions for repeatable test execution.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Communication, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 3‑6 years of experience in avionics validation, EMC or environmental testing, with at least 2 years of hands‑on RTCA DO-160G testing.
• Experience working with aerospace OEMs, avionics suppliers or accredited test laboratories.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of RTCA DO-160G requirements.
• EMC testing tools: EMI receivers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, RF power amplifiers, LISNs, current probes, EMC antennas.
• Environmental test equipment: environmental chambers, vibration shakers, data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes.
• Software: LabVIEW, Python‑based test automation.
• Knowledge of aerospace standards such as DO‑178C, DO‑254, ARP4754A, ARP4761, MIL‑STD‑461, MIL‑STD‑464, AS9100, IEC 61000 series.
