About the role
The Technical Buyer & Expeditor will manage the end‑to‑end procurement of materials, equipment and services for ExxonMobil projects in India. You will support commercial strategy implementation, lead tendering activities and ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery of goods while maintaining supplier compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Execute procurement of goods and services, ensuring supplier compliance and alignment with project objectives.
- Prepare bidder lists, set up bidders in the eRFX system, verify qualifications and issue requests for quotation with technical documentation.
- Conduct clarification calls, evaluate bids (including technical evaluation) and recommend source selections.
- Lead purchase order negotiations, define terms and conditions, and set up vendors in the system.
- Provide pricing for all materials referenced in project plans and drawings, and monitor project milestones.
- Identify potential new suppliers and products, and chair regular procurement reviews with the project team.
Required profile
- Proven experience in technical procurement or purchasing for large‑scale projects.
- Strong understanding of tendering processes, supplier qualification, and contract management.
- Ability to work closely with engineering and project teams and communicate technical requirements clearly.
- Detail‑oriented with a focus on cost efficiency and timely delivery.
