Team Member – Site Utilities (R&D Facilities)

About the role

The Team Member – Site Utilities ensures that R&D buildings, facilities and utilities remain fully operational, supporting uninterrupted research and development activities. The role also covers mechanical maintenance of the site and participation in infrastructure projects as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical and utility maintenance within defined time frames.
• Manage Capex projects, prepare budgets and monitor expenditures.
• Support the Team Leader in personnel development, target setting and performance coaching.
• Provide utilities to Pilot Plant, Kilo Lab and R&D Lab and ensure data entry in SAP.
• Execute preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs according to schedule and ISO requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute.
• 5‑7 years of experience in maintenance and utilities within the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal functions (Chemistry, Analytical, Biology, Knowledge Management) and external vendors.

Required skills

• Operation and maintenance of HVAC, chiller, boiler, reverse‑osmosis (RO) and compressor systems.
• Experience with thermic‑fluid systems, glass‑lined reactors, ANF, centrifuges, pumps, vacuum pumps and ejectors.
• Proficiency in SAP programming and data management.
