Team Member – Money, Materials & Compliance

About the role

The Team Member – Money, Materials & Compliance supports the implementation of the finance and compliance strategy across accounting, tax, treasury, procurement and legal functions. Working under the Team Lead, the role ensures accurate reporting, cost control and adherence to internal and external regulations to protect the business and meet the Annual Operating Plan.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the MMC P&L leader to develop and implement financial business plans.
• Support cost‑control initiatives to optimise spending and reduce waste.
• Process monthly Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) payments and ensure timely deposits to the treasury.
• Verify monthly and quarterly TDS/TCS data and communicate any discrepancies.
• Validate vendor/customer PAN on income‑tax portals, prepare and file returns, and manage TDS/TCS certificates via TRACES.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of quarterly direct tax returns for all entities.
• Issue TDS certificates to vendors on a quarterly basis as required.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of VAT, GST and excise duties and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Validate GST information and related documents for business transactions.
• Prepare detailed monthly MIS breakdown of the Profit & Loss account and Balance Sheet.
• Participate in quarterly financial account assessments with cross‑functional teams.
