Lead Analyst – US Corporate Credit & Financial Analysis

About the role

The Lead Analyst will join the Research & Analysis function of ANZ's Institutional bank, supporting the US corporate credit portfolio for mid‑market enterprise clients. This permanent position is based in Bengaluru and focuses on end‑to‑end credit management, risk assessment, and portfolio monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed financial and credit analysis for corporate clients across sectors such as retail, manufacturing, media and entertainment.
• Identify and manage risks within a client’s capital structure, ownership and financial performance.
• Prepare high‑quality credit papers, including industry and company analysis.
• Manage and update risk grading and perform event‑driven reviews.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Credit teams and Legal to interpret transaction documentation and deal structures.
• Ensure the portfolio remains within defined risk and quality parameters under the “well‑managed” framework.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in corporate credit analysis, preferably within the banking sector.
• Exposure to the US market and strong understanding of credit risk assessment.
• Solid business acumen and ability to communicate financial insights to stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage a diversified client portfolio.
