About the role
Paytm is India's leading mobile payments and financial services company, and its EDC Retail team helps merchants grow through simple, data‑driven technology. The Team Leader will be responsible for driving the sale of EDC machines to merchants across multiple locations, ensuring a strong merchant base and high customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Create an inspiring team environment with open communication.
- Drive swiping device (EDC) sales in the assigned area.
- Resolve merchant queries and engage the merchant base.
- Hire, build, and coach a high‑performing team.
- Set clear team goals, delegate tasks, and set deadlines.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations and monitor performance metrics.
- Motivate team members and recognize high performance.
- Identify training needs and provide coaching.
- Address feedback, resolve conflicts, and encourage creativity.
- Organize team‑building activities.
Required profile
- High level of drive, initiative and self‑motivation.
- Proven experience in leading a team.
- Graduate or post‑graduate qualification.
- Growth mindset.
