Team Lead, Operations - Middle Mile

About the role

Amazon is looking for a motivated, customer‑obsessed Team Lead to manage Middle Mile sort‑center operations. You will lead a team of 30–80+ associates on the floor, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality sortation from inbound dock through outbound dispatch while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Pre‑Shift Planning: review staffing, attend leadership meetings, complete area readiness checks, and plan for volume and bagging.
• Start of Shift: deliver SOS brief, verify headcount and system logins, ensure associates begin scanning promptly.
• Shift Operations: drive throughput, manage CPT priorities, track quality metrics, monitor total operating time, handle labor movements and exceptions.
• Safety: conduct audits, enforce PPE and ergonomic standards, improve incident rates, lead incident response and yard safety.
• People Leadership: engage on the floor, provide real‑time coaching, give feedback, and support associate development.
• End of Shift & Continuous Improvement: verify volume handoff, complete area readiness, document shift handover, participate in Kaizens, and reduce defects.

Required profile

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• 1+ years experience in a customer‑facing, warehousing, logistics or manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Willingness to work flexible, rotational shifts including nights, weekends and peak periods.
