Team Lead - Operations

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Team Lead – Operations to manage a high‑performing team delivering banking compliance processes such as KYC, transaction monitoring, CDD, EDD, fraud detection and AML in our Bangalore centre.

Key responsibilities

• Set and monitor employee performance objectives, provide coaching and training, and ensure succession planning.
• Develop a talent pipeline through competency‑based recruitment and structured induction.
• Plan and forecast workloads, manage throughput and resources to meet SLA and KPI targets.
• Conduct regular 1‑to‑1 coaching, manage budgets, and optimise team performance.
• Identify trends and risks using management information, and recommend process, people and system improvements.
• Maintain consistent communication with the team and senior management, motivating and encouraging high performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years experience in banking operations covering KYC, transaction monitoring, CDD, EDD, fraud and AML.
• Proven people‑management experience, including performance management, coaching and recruitment.
• Ability to analyse data, spot trends, and drive continuous improvement.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across functions.
• Experience working in a regulated environment and ensuring compliance.
