Tax Manager

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its US Tax team in India. The role will work closely with cross‑functional partners and subject‑matter experts to ensure accurate US tax compliance and drive automation initiatives across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review US Domestic, State and Local Tax (SALT) and International tax compliance forms using OneSource Income Tax, including all supporting schedules and disclosures.
• Manage internal teams and external advisors to ensure timely filing of US tax forms such as Forms 1120, 5471, 8858, and various SALT filings.
• Provide technical US tax guidance and collaborate with the US Provision, Tax Planning, and Regional Tax teams.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency.
• Review complex workpapers, large data sets, and tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee Book‑to‑Tax adjustments, consolidated returns, and Reportable Transaction Position (RTP) documentation.
• Handle state quarterly estimated tax workpapers, extensions, and related calculations.
• Assist with quarterly activities, including Federal and SALT payable reconciliations, tax forecasts, and accruals.
• Review disclosures, Country‑by‑Country Reporting (CbCR) workpapers, and support additional compliance tasks for US and non‑US entities.
• Conduct tax research on relevant laws, regulations, and emerging developments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting, or Finance.
• 7–8 years of experience in US Domestic Tax, SALT, and International Tax (US International Tax experience is a plus).
• Enrolled Agent (EA) certification preferred.
• Strong process orientation with a focus on standardization and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• OneSource Income Tax software (Tax Accounting System and Organizer modules).
• Enrolled Agent (EA) certification (preferred).
