About the role
We are looking for a Tax Form Annotation Specialist to work remotely on a contract basis. You will help create high‑quality labeled datasets for tax documents, supporting machine‑learning initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Study layouts of tax forms such as W‑2, 1040, and 1099 to define annotation scope.
- Create labels and draw bounding boxes for each field using Label Studio or a similar platform.
- Identify interrelated fields and configure relationship tags.
- Generate JSON and YAML annotation exports and verify their schema integrity.
Required profile
- Solid understanding of common tax form structures (W‑2, 1040, 1099).
- Hands‑on experience with Label Studio or comparable annotation tools.
- Proficiency in drawing bounding boxes and applying label schemas.
- Ability to define field‑level data types and metadata accurately.
