Tax Analyst – Overseas Direct Tax Compliance

About the role

ABB is seeking a Tax Analyst to support overseas direct tax compliance across its global operations. The role focuses on accurate tax accounting, statutory filings, and process standardisation while ensuring alignment with local and global regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file WHT, FBT and CIT tax returns and manage timely tax payments.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure all filings comply with current laws.
• Assist with quarterly and year‑end tax provisions under IFRS or US GAAP using Longview.
• Evaluate financial records, reconcile tax GL accounts, and produce tax reconciliation reports.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, process flows and work instructions to improve tax processes.
• Resolve functional tax issues for domestic and overseas jurisdictions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce; advanced credentials (CA Inter, CMA Inter, CS Inter, MBA Finance) preferred.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience with income‑tax returns, TDS compliance and tax audits.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA (preferred).
• Familiarity with Longview or T2 tax tools (preferred).
