System Test Automation Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a System Test Automation Engineer to join Bosch’s automotive software team in Bangalore. The role focuses on designing, developing and executing automated and manual tests for vehicle systems, ensuring high quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks and AI‑driven test tools.
• Implement continuous testing in CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins.
• Review system and software requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.
• Execute system and software tests in HiL and SiL environments.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, support root‑cause analysis and document findings.
• Prepare and maintain clear test reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with requirements engineers, developers and global stakeholders to ensure test coverage and quality.
• Participate in requirement, design and test reviews, providing quality and risk‑based input.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in automotive system and software testing (or 3–8 years of relevant experience).
• Strong analytical, debugging and problem‑solving abilities.
• Self‑driven, quick learner with strong ownership and effective communication skills.

Required skills

• Python (minimum 3 years of experience).
• Experience with HiL and SiL test frameworks (manual and automated).
• Proficiency with diagnostics and automotive communication protocols: CAN, CAN FD, LIN.
• Hands‑on experience with Vector tools such as CANoe and CANalyzer.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, preferably Jenkins.
• Familiarity with AI‑based tools, e.g., Copilot.
