System Integration Test Engineer

About the role

The Engineer is responsible for confirming and supporting the safe, reliable, and effective operation of Airbus product features across sub‑system, system, and aircraft levels. The role focuses on technical leadership, high‑quality delivery using ground‑based test rigs, and rigorous analysis of ground and flight data.

Key responsibilities

• Take end‑to‑end technical ownership of specific flight‑control sub‑systems, ensuring requirements are met with high fidelity.
• Identify, analyse, and resolve complex technical challenges within the flight‑control domain using advanced analytical methods.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and conduct peer reviews of test procedures.
• Define and oversee system testing methods, write test procedures, execute tests, record data, and classify defects.
• Perform real‑time analysis during flight tests, produce comprehensive flight‑test report analyses, and identify defects.
• Drive innovation in testing techniques, including automated testing, virtual testing, and big‑data analysis.
• Review and validate design specification documents such as System Description Documents, System Integration Documents, and Interface Control Documents.

Required profile

• B.Tech or M.Tech in Electronics/Avionics or equivalent.
• 5‑8 years of experience in Avionics systems V&V or development.
• Deep understanding of Avionics Systems Engineering, Flight Management Systems, and Flight Controls.
• Strong knowledge of Indicating & Recording systems, Guidance, Navigation, and Control.
