System Engineering Project Manager – Rolling stock

About the role

Siemens Mobility is seeking a System Engineering Project Manager to lead complex rolling‑stock projects. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and controlling project activities while ensuring technical requirements, budgets, and timelines are met.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, and technical requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, resource allocations, and milestones.
• Assemble and lead multidisciplinary teams of system engineers, software developers, and technical specialists.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to the engineering team.
• Monitor and control project budgets, implement cost‑control measures, and report on KPIs.
• Identify, analyze, and mitigate technical, operational, and organizational risks.
• Act as the liaison between the Rolling Stock Business Unit and the Engineering Center in India.
• Facilitate communication with customers, executives, and cross‑functional teams, delivering regular progress updates and technical reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale system engineering projects, preferably in rail or transportation.
• Strong ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and drive results.
• Excellent risk‑management and budgeting skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
