System Administrator

About the role

Algoworks is seeking a System Administrator to manage and secure its enterprise Linux environments, primarily Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). The role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance across on‑premises and hybrid cloud infrastructures.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, troubleshoot, monitor and maintain enterprise Linux/RHEL systems.
• Perform system performance tuning, patching, upgrades and lifecycle management.
• Manage authentication and identity services such as Active Directory, LDAP, Kerberos, SSSD and PAM.
• Implement SELinux policies, security hardening and follow Linux security best practices.
• Handle enterprise storage configurations including NFS, multipathing and storage connectivity.
• Manage SSL/TLS certificates, renewals and secure communications.
• Develop scripts and automation to improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor system health, logs, performance and availability using enterprise monitoring tools.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and collaborate with cross‑functional technical teams.
• Support hybrid infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud environments.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in Linux system administration.
• Ability to work collaboratively with infrastructure, engineering, security and operations teams.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to system security and reliability.
