About the role

IBM Finance & Operations is looking for an Operations Buyer to manage end‑to‑end procurement of goods and services. You will partner with internal requesters and external suppliers, ensuring compliance with IBM’s contracts and client requirements while driving cost‑effective solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Review requisition requirements and identify non‑catalog purchases.
• Source suppliers from the master file, negotiate cost savings and contract terms.
• Procure low‑value goods and services, confirm pricing, delivery, and purchase‑order receipt.
• Onboard new suppliers, maintain supplier documentation, and resolve payment issues.
• Utilise ERP tools to support procurement processes and ensure audit‑ready records.
• Generate and maintain reporting dashboards and team trackers using MS Excel.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, tactical commodity managers, and clients across geographies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (any discipline).
• 1‑3 years of experience in supply‑chain or procurement, preferably in a global organization.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a rotational shift environment.
• Knowledge of client‑specific procurement processes and contract interpretation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP procurement tools.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for reporting and data analysis.
• Negotiation and vendor‑management capabilities.
