Supply Chain Manager

About the role

Emerson is seeking a Supply Chain Manager for its MWC Chengalpattu facility in India. The role leads a team of sourcing and supplier‑quality engineers, driving sourcing strategies, supplier performance and cost‑reduction initiatives across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing and commodity management, defining long‑term commodity strategies, leveraging opportunities across India and other PRM sites, and tracking material costs to support data‑driven cost reductions.
• Manage supplier performance and relationships by reviewing lead‑time, service level and quality metrics, conducting business reviews, and coordinating training programs to mitigate supply risks.
• Prioritise and execute projects such as new product development, regionalisation, localisation, cost containment and risk mitigation, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with cross‑functional teams.
• Standardise processes and optimise resources by coaching the team on Emerson’s procurement systems, implementing disciplined project management, and driving waste‑reduction initiatives.
• Develop talent within the procurement team, identifying high‑potential candidates, fostering continuous learning and building a pipeline for future leadership roles.
