Student Dietary Aide – Long Term Care

About the role

Caressant Care is seeking a motivated student to join our long‑term care team as a Dietary Aide. This part‑time position supports residents by ensuring safe, nutritious meals are prepared and served in a caring environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist kitchen staff with meal preparation and portioning according to resident dietary plans.
• Serve meals and snacks to residents, ensuring timely delivery and proper presentation.
• Maintain strict food‑safety standards, including proper storage, temperature monitoring, and sanitation.
• Clean and organize work areas, equipment, and dining spaces.
• Document food‑service activities and report any concerns to supervisors.

Required profile

• Current student status (high school, college or university).
• Completion of a Food Safety Handler Training Program.
• Ability to work safely with vulnerable individuals.
• Strong English reading and writing skills.
• Punctual, reliable, and able to follow instructions.

Required skills

• Food Safety Handler certification.
