Stress Testing – UK Regulatory Reporting Lead

About the role

The role is responsible for overseeing the UK STDF actuals and stress‑testing outputs, ensuring end‑to‑end process integrity and smooth hand‑over to the Group. It includes ownership of risk and control management, governance of UK stress‑testing, and preparation for the 2027 BCST rollout.

Key responsibilities

• Manage oversight of UK STDF actuals and stress‑testing outputs, maintaining process integrity and clear ownership.
• Design, uplift and monitor controls (including EUCs, calculators and models) and prepare Risk and Control Assessments.
• Maintain the inventory of regulatory reports (RRIS) and drive issue remediation in Helios.
• Represent HBUK in the Integrity in Regulatory Reporting Stress‑Testing SteerCo, provide updates and escalate risks.
• Prepare documentation, process maps, runbooks and control evidence for 2027 BCST readiness.
• Lead UK stress‑testing delivery across cycles, own L0‑L2 plans, timelines and audit‑ready artefacts.
• Coordinate approvals from accountable executives and facilitate STDF actuals sign‑off.
• Identify emerging risks, communicate policy updates and streamline/automate activities.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of the UK STDF and stress‑testing frameworks.
• Understanding of robust control frameworks and experience conducting controls effectiveness testing.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Focus on continuous process development and automation to enhance controls and efficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
