Strategic Procurement Specialist

About the role

Siemens is seeking a highly driven Strategic Procurement Specialist to lead sourcing and cost‑optimization initiatives for key manufacturing commodities. The role combines deep technical knowledge of die‑casting, sheet‑metal and machining processes with strong analytical skills in zero‑based costing and value engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies for Die Casting, Sheet Metal and Machining commodities.
• Identify, evaluate and onboard suppliers that meet quality, cost and delivery objectives.
• Perform zero‑based costing (ZBC) and validate supplier quotations, analysing raw material, process, overhead and margin components.
• Drive cost‑reduction projects through value engineering and design‑to‑cost approaches.
• Lead supplier negotiations, monitor QCD performance and support supplier development.
• Manage RFQs, techno‑commercial discussions and contract alignment.
• Track market trends affecting raw‑material and commodity pricing.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, quality and supply‑chain teams to ensure seamless execution and support new product development.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in strategic procurement or purchase engineering within manufacturing.
• B.E. / B.Tech degree in engineering or a related field.
• Proven track record in zero‑based costing, supplier negotiations and cost‑optimization.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes for die‑casting, sheet‑metal and machining.
