Stewarding Executive

About the role

The Hoxton Bengaluru City, a new neighbourhood hotel opening in the city centre in 2026, is looking for a Stewarding Executive. The role supports the Stewarding Manager in keeping kitchens and back-of-house areas clean, organised and ready for service, supervising the stewarding team during shifts and ensuring crockery, cutlery, glassware and kitchen equipment are cleaned, sanitised and stored.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Stewarding Manager in day-to-day stewarding operations.
• Supervise the stewarding team during your shift so tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
• Keep crockery, cutlery, glassware, kitchen utensils and equipment clean, sanitised and readily available.
• Inspect kitchens, pot wash areas, stores and waste disposal areas regularly to maintain hygiene standards.
• Monitor stock levels of cleaning chemicals, operating equipment and stewarding supplies and report replenishment needs.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene, HACCP and health and safety procedures are followed.
• Support banquet and event operations by coordinating the movement and availability of operating equipment.
• Work closely with the Kitchen, Food & Beverage and Engineering teams.
• Assist with inventory counts, breakage control, equipment maintenance and cost management.
• Coach and support team members and lead by example.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Stewarding Executive, Senior Steward or similar role in a hotel or hospitality setting.
• Good knowledge of kitchen operations, stewarding procedures, food safety, HACCP and sanitation standards.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise and motivate a team while maintaining operational standards.
• A qualification in Hospitality or Food Production is an advantage.
