Statutory Audit Analyst

About the role

IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences, is hiring a Statutory Audit Analyst for its Global Business Services function in Hyderabad, India. The role is hybrid and involves preparing final accounts and supporting statutory audits for multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare final accounts in line with local Statutory GAAP requirements for several countries.
• Coordinate with local statutory auditors (mainly PwC) to meet requirements and resolve queries.
• Collaborate with functions and business teams on audit-related questions.
• Prepare schedules required under local statutory regulations.
• Ensure compliance with local Companies Act and GAAP, including physical verification of assets and inventory.
• Complete tax schedules for local tax filings and provide data for tax assessments.
• Coordinate with tax teams on submissions such as tax bulletins and deferred tax templates.
• Assist country controllers and project teams during M&A projects and support R2R vertical teams as needed.
• Handle ad-hoc statutory account requests and share information with stakeholders.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with 2+ years of experience in statutory audit.
• Strong accounting and analytical skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to handle a heavy or varied workload.
• Able to multitask and quickly identify investigation and resolution paths.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Sound knowledge of financial statement preparation.
