State Program Officer – HIV Prevention (Mizoram)

About the role

PATH, a global nonprofit focused on health equity, is seeking a Senior Program Officer to lead HIV prevention activities in Mizoram under Project Sashakt. The role supports the National and State AIDS Control Programs in achieving the 95‑95‑95 targets by strengthening treatment, case‑finding, and essential HIV services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and scale public‑health programs that align with PATH’s strategic goals and national HIV objectives.
• Manage day‑to‑day program operations, including budgeting, scheduling and resource allocation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, government partners, funders and community organizations.
• Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging public‑health issues and recommend evidence‑based interventions.
• Monitor program outcomes, ensure compliance with donor and regulatory requirements, and provide regular reports to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in public‑health program management, preferably in HIV/AIDS.
• Demonstrated experience working with government health systems in India.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive results in a complex environment.
