Staff Software Engineer

About the role

We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Hyderabad, India team. In this role you’ll define technical solutions for critical business problems and lead the technical direction for complex, high‑scale systems.

Key responsibilities

• Drive technical excellence as a subject‑matter expert, providing high‑level reviews and advice across multiple teams.
• Architect scalable solutions for complex business problems in a high‑traffic environment (20k rpm+).
• Lead strategic direction by influencing the long‑term technical roadmap and managing project timelines, risks and sustainable delivery.
• Mentor and coach engineers at all levels and partner with emerging leaders to scale engineering culture.
• Shape the team by leading engineering interviews and contributing to recruiting strategy to maintain a high talent bar.

Required profile

• Deep technical mastery with significant experience building web‑based applications at scale and writing readable, well‑tested software.
• Polyglot mindset with proficiency in or desire to learn Go, Ruby, Python, Scala or Rust.
• Distributed systems expertise, including relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL back‑ends such as Redis, DynamoDB or Elasticsearch.
• High‑scale architecture experience designing and operating systems handling massive request volumes and complex logistical workflows.
• Strategic leadership ability to align multiple disciplines and teams to resolve ambiguous technical challenges.
