Staff Pharmacist

About the role

Dorika Hospital, a 105‑bed multi‑speciality facility in Tezpur, Assam, is seeking a full‑time Staff Pharmacist to join its on‑site pharmacy team. The role involves ensuring safe medication dispensing, patient counseling, and supporting the hospital’s pharmacy operations.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately dispense medications and verify prescriptions in compliance with laws and hospital policies.
• Counsel patients and caregivers on proper medication use, dosage, side effects, and storage.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to optimise pharmacotherapy.
• Manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and handle expired or recalled medicines.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and pharmacy records.
• Participate in quality‑assurance activities, clinical audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognised institution.
• Valid registration with the appropriate pharmacy authority.
• Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with hospital information systems.
