Staff Nurse

About the role

The Staff Nurse will support the CHANGE‑CVD project by providing clinical care, screening, and coordination for patients with cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes and related risk factors at Rural Health Training Centres across India.

Key responsibilities

• Screen patients for cardiovascular conditions, hypertension, diabetes and related risk factors.
• Conduct patient assessments using the digital health platform and record all data accurately.
• Coordinate with medical officers, RHTC/UHC/PHC staff and specialists to ensure smooth implementation of the intervention.
• Assist medical officers and specialists during online and offline consultations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for PHC/RHTC stakeholders and facilitate effective communication.
• Implement digital health strategies in line with project objectives in collaboration with relevant partners.
• Prepare and disseminate activity and milestone reports for the assigned site.
• Identify operational bottlenecks, propose solutions and support efficient project delivery.
• Provide regular updates to project investigators and maintain required documentation.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse qualification (BSc Nursing or equivalent).
• Experience in primary health care, community health or rural health settings.
• Familiarity with digital health tools and point‑of‑care diagnostics.
• Strong communication and coordination skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to work in multiple rural locations across India.

Required skills

• Use of digital health platforms for patient assessment and data entry.
• Operation of point‑of‑care diagnostic devices.
• Facilitation of telemedicine consultations.
• Clinical documentation and reporting.
