Staff Nurse

About the role

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join its renal care team. The nurse will be responsible for delivering safe and effective haemodialysis treatments to patients with kidney failure, ensuring comfort and compliance throughout each session.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate the haemodialysis machine, attaching dialyzer and tubing and priming circuits with 0.9% normal saline.
• Label dialyser and blood lines with patient name and ID before first use.
• Prepare dialysis solutions and mix bicarbonate according to prescribed formulas.
• Explain the dialysis procedure and machine operation to patients to reduce anxiety.
• Connect the machine to the patient’s access site and initiate treatment.
• Monitor the machine for any malfunction and intervene as needed.
• Maintain accurate log books, forms, and registers for each treatment.
