Staff Data Analyst

About the role

Coupang’s Retail and Selection team is looking for a Staff Data Analyst to shape the data strategy that powers millions of SKUs and vendor relationships. You will architect data pipelines, ensure data integrity, and enable data‑driven decisions across selection, pricing, and inventory health.

Key responsibilities

• Lead high‑impact projects to improve selection data quality and establish a reliable source of truth for business decisions.
• Design, build, and maintain robust ETL pipelines that integrate market signals, vendor performance, and customer demand.
• Apply Large Language Models and prompt engineering to automate catalog categorization and extract insights from unstructured vendor data.
• Develop and maintain the Retail Team Knowledge Base, including data dictionaries and technical documentation.
• Create self‑service dashboards and training programs for Category Managers and vendors to enable independent data‑driven decisions.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence.
• Expert‑level proficiency in SQL and Python or R for data extraction and manipulation.
• Practical experience with prompt engineering and generative AI tools.
• Strong ability to visualize data and tell stories using PowerBI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Business‑level fluency in English with proven experience teaching non‑technical users.
