About the role

We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer specialized in metal components to generate design concepts, develop feasible designs, and ensure compliance with all specifications and regulations.

Key responsibilities

Generate design concepts and produce conforming designs, parameters and calculations as directed by project or lead engineers.
Develop feasible designs considering available manufacturing processes and perform engineering calculations for mass, strength and mechanical performance.
Prepare and maintain engineering release and change documentation.
Provide alternative design solutions with analysis, supporting information and recommendations for each assigned project.
Ensure accuracy of designers' and detailers' work by giving clear technical direction and verifying output.
Guarantee that designs comply with government and customer specifications and regulations.
Complete assignments according to prescribed schedules and actively participate in product design reviews.
May manage a CAD operator as needed.
