Sr Data Scientist - Customer Analytics

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join a customer analytics engagement, applying machine learning and statistical modeling to help the client understand customer value, behavior, and segment transitions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and apply ML models to classify customers into value segments and estimate transitions.
• Develop Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) and value models for current and future value estimation.
• Analyze behavioral and transactional data to uncover patterns and opportunities for long‑term relationships.
• Apply causal modeling, experimentation, and A/B testing to identify drivers of customer value.
• Contribute to a Next Best Action proof‑of‑concept for personalized engagement.
• Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, model development, validation, and interpretation.
• Communicate findings and model outputs clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to leverage unified customer records.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on data science or machine learning experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with experience handling large datasets.
• Proven ability to develop and apply ML models to business problems.
• Experience with customer analytics, segmentation, CLV, churn, or propensity modeling.
• Comfort with ambiguity, evolving requirements, and stakeholder management.
