Sr Backend Engineer - AI

About the role

Signoz is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join its AI pod, Nerve. The team builds the AI layer of the observability platform, including the AI teammate Noz, the MCP server, AI agents, and LLM observability features.

Key responsibilities

• Develop Noz, the AI teammate, handling agent orchestration, tool calling, streaming over SSE, and session state.
• Build and maintain the SigNoz MCP server that enables LLM agents to query logs, metrics, traces, and create alerts and dashboards.
• Implement LLM/GenAI observability, monitoring AI applications with OpenTelemetry.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience building production backend systems in product companies with strong engineering culture.
• Deep expertise in Go (concurrency, channels, performance) and async Python (FastAPI, Pydantic, asyncio).
• Curiosity about LLMs and agents, with a drive to make non‑deterministic systems reliable.
• High ownership in a fast‑moving, remote‑first team, capable of driving initiatives from discovery to rollout.
