Sr Auditor, Audit & Controls

About the role

The Senior Auditor will lead complex audit assignments and investigations for Gartner’s internal audit function. Based in Gurgaon, the role works closely with global audit managers to provide insights into risk, control and governance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Scope and execute comprehensive audits of financial, operational and compliance areas in line with the annual audit plan.
• Identify, assess and document risks and controls within business processes, delivering improvement recommendations.
• Engage with stakeholders to test and evaluate internal controls and company processes.
• Prepare and present concise audit reports to senior management, highlighting findings and actionable steps.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams worldwide to drive process improvements and strengthen risk management.
• Stay current on industry best practices, emerging risks and regulatory changes, integrating them into audit strategies.

Required profile

• 4‑7 years of experience in internal audit, external audit or a related field; Big Four experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to design and execute internal audit work programs.
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks, risk management and governance principles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (CIA, CISA, CA, CPA, CFE) highly preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills with stakeholder influence capability.
