About the role

Barclays is hiring a Specialist Customer Care for its Corporate Digital Banking banking operations team, based in Chennai. The role provides exceptional customer service while resolving more complex customer needs and requests, building relationships that add value to every interaction. It sits within the Banking Operations area of Corporate Digital Banking.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service through chat, email and phone, resolving complex and specific customer needs with personalised solutions.
• Collaborate with teams across the bank to align and integrate customer care processes.
• Identify areas for improvement, recommend changes, and give feedback and coaching to colleagues.
• Develop and implement customer care procedures and controls to mitigate risks and keep operations efficient.
• Resolve customer inquiries on products and services, including account balances, transactions and payments.
• Prepare reports and presentations on customer care performance for senior stakeholders.
• Track industry trends and apply best practice to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer-facing service environment.
• Ability to handle inbound and outbound calls and offer affordable solutions to customers.
• Effective communication skills.
• Legal right to work in India; Barclays may require enhanced governance compliance.
