Solutions Architect (Genie)

About the role

The Solutions Architect (Genie) works within Databricks’ Product Operating Model to accelerate product‑market fit and revenue growth for early‑stage product lines. Partnering with account executives, you will engage clients across multiple business units, position the Genie product suite, and guide adoption to meet their business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with GTM leadership and account teams to design and execute high‑impact engagement strategies across your territory.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and champion, building technical credibility with stakeholders to drive product adoption and vision.
• Enable clients at scale through workshops and develop customer‑facing collateral that increases technical knowledge.
• Translate field‑derived, data‑driven insights into strategic recommendations that influence the product roadmap.
• Act as the tier‑3 escalation point for complex technical challenges, ensuring customer success in mission‑critical environments.

Required profile

• 6+ years in a customer‑facing pre‑sales or consulting role influencing technical executives.
• Credibility in analytics, BI, and natural‑language/agentic AI products with market insight to shape roadmap priorities.
• Deep understanding of AI governance, security considerations, and ability to guide customers through blockers.
• Proven ability to co‑plan large territories with Account Executives and work cross‑functionally with GTM and R&D teams.
• Experience architecting governed analytics solutions that integrate semantic models, data warehouses, and metric layers within Lakehouse and AI ecosystems.
• Undergraduate degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
