About the role

Avaloq is seeking a Software Test Specialist to analyse business, functional and technical requirements and define comprehensive test strategies. You will develop and maintain test artefacts, estimate effort, identify risks and support system integration, user acceptance and regression testing.

Key responsibilities

Design and execute manual and automated test cases covering functional, integration, API and end‑to‑end scenarios.
Maintain test plans, test cases, scripts and execution schedules while providing regular status updates.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners and Project Managers throughout sprint ceremonies and release cycles.
Identify defects, manage risk‑based testing and recommend mitigation actions.
Validate business processes, interfaces, data flows and ensure testing is completed within agreed timelines and quality standards.

Required profile

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related discipline.
ISTQB Foundation certification (or equivalent); advanced testing certifications are a plus.

Required skills

Test Planning, Test Strategy and Test Case Design techniques.
Functional, Integration, Regression, API and End‑to‑End testing.
Defect Management and Risk‑Based Testing.
Tools: JIRA, Azure DevOps, HP ALM/Quality Center, TestRail, Postman, SoapUI, Jenkins, Git, Confluence.
Automation (desirable): Selenium, Playwright, Cypress.
Programming languages: Java, Python, C#.
API testing frameworks: REST Assured.
Database skills: SQL querying, data validation, log analysis.
