Software Factory Architect (Lead Developer) – Vehicle Motion

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Software Factory Architect to lead the creation and deployment of a global developer platform for the Vehicle Motion business unit. Based in Bengaluru, you will design the tool‑chain, automate pipelines and coach teams to adopt modern, AI‑accelerated engineering practices.

Key responsibilities

• Define and roll out a standardized development environment using Visual Studio Code, GitHub Copilot and DevContainers.
• Design, build and maintain CI/CT pipelines with GitHub Actions and self‑hosted runners.
• Modernize build systems with Conan, Make, custom scripts and the internal Make Tool Chain.
• Integrate safety‑critical testing frameworks such as Cantata and ECU‑TEST and develop custom simulation tools.
• Implement infrastructure‑as‑code using Python, PowerShell and Docker containers.
• Coach global development teams on AI‑assisted coding and new engineering methodologies.
• Establish coding standards, architectural guidelines and governance across the organization.

Required profile

• Strong background in software architecture and hands‑on development for safety‑critical systems.
• Experience building and scaling developer platforms in a large, distributed organization.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and drive adoption of modern tooling.
