About the role
Google is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Search team, where you will help reimagine how people find information across the web and beyond. You will work on large‑scale systems that serve billions of users worldwide and have the opportunity to move between projects as the business evolves.
Key responsibilities
- Write product or system development code for Search‑related features.
- Review code from peers, ensuring style, testability, efficiency and overall quality.
- Contribute to documentation and educational content, updating it based on product changes and user feedback.
- Triage, debug, and resolve product or system issues, analyzing impacts on hardware, network, or service operations.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 1 year of software development experience in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience developing accessible technologies is a plus.
