Software Engineer

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (through its Aruba business) is looking for a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain cloud‑native application modules. The position is hybrid, with an expectation of two days per week on‑site at an HPE office.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze feature specifications and define coding, testing, and integration tasks.
• Design and develop moderate to complex cloud application modules while adhering to security policies.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve code and integration issues.
• Create and execute comprehensive test plans covering performance, scalability, usability, and security.
• Deploy cloud‑based systems using CI/CD pipelines and automate scaling and management.
• Contribute to innovation by integrating new technologies into projects.
• Analyze data‑processing problems and implement solutions for complex application, system, or network challenges.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative discipline (Master’s preferred).
• 4–7 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to thrive in an agile environment.

Required skills

• Programming languages: Python, Java, Golang, JavaScript.
• Understanding of distributed systems and event‑driven programming.
• Experience with cloud‑native applications, managed services, and next‑generation databases.
• DevOps practices: CI/CD, infrastructure as code, containerization.
• Orchestration tools, especially Kubernetes.
