Software Engineer II - Mobile Developer

About the role

Talkdesk is looking for a Software Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain high‑quality features for its Android or iOS applications. You will work on both native code and shared Kotlin Multiplatform modules while using AI‑assisted development tools to accelerate delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain user‑friendly features on Android or iOS, leveraging Kotlin or Swift.
• Implement scalable components that can handle rapid user growth.
• Use AI coding assistants (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) for code generation, testing, and architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering, support, and product teams to resolve technical issues and understand customer needs.
• Operate in a modern agile environment with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment to Play Store or TestFlight/App Store Connect.
• Contribute to the shared Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) module and implement platform‑specific pieces.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of professional experience with Kotlin or Swift (expertise on at least one platform).
• Strong object‑oriented and functional programming fundamentals, test‑driven development, and solid Git experience.
• Hands‑on experience with AI coding assistants as part of daily workflow.
• Excellent written and spoken English; proactive self‑starter.
