Software Engineer II – Development & Integration

About the role

Xerox is seeking a Software Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain software modules that control a variety of electrical, mechanical, and network systems. You will work on both new product development and enhancements to existing solutions, applying best practices to deliver reliable, high‑quality software.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop, and test software systems and applications for new products and enhancements.
• Develop device drivers, patches, operating‑system modifications, and graphics modules.
• Analyze, program, and modify software used in local, networked, or Internet‑related environments.
• Write code, perform testing, and debug applications using current programming languages and technologies.
• Conduct studies of potential electronic data processing applications.
• Develop and install programs supporting general business applications on PCs.
• Design web pages, including graphics, animation, and functionality, and recommend hardware/software purchases related to web development.
• Provide mentorship and act as a resource for less‑experienced colleagues.

Required profile

• In‑depth knowledge and experience in software development and integration.
• Ability to work independently while following established policies, procedures, and business plans.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Willingness to act as a technical resource for junior team members.
